Ready...Set....PA School!

I never saw myself as a blogger, but since I'm moving to the far far away land of Connecticut (hey, it's the first time I've lived outside MA), I thought I would start one. As most of you know by now, I will become a PA (Physician Assistant) Master's student at Quinnipiac Univ. starting in May. While I am very excited about this new life ahead of me, I was told that for the next 2 1/2 years, I probably wouldn't have much contact with friends and family. Well, hey why not start a blog to help said friends and family stay informed on my life as a PA student and maybe about my life in general? I promise I will keep it interesting. I'm thinking of starting a rating system in case I have a particularly disgusting and/or awesome week in Cadaver lab this summer and feel like sharing about it so people with weak stomachs can get a heads up.

Aside from that silliness, so far I have progressed well in my move/transition. I have a 3 bedroom apartment in Hamden with two fantastic roommates, Keri and Kawal! We met through a mutual love of a particular apartment complex and the 3 of us clicked immediately. I already moved my furniture down, now it's just me who needs to move in. I plan to stick around Boston a little longer to hang with some friends and sing in what will probably be my last chorus concert for many years. This really saddens me because chorus was my outlet, my little escape from stress/school. Yet despite this, I am eagerly anticipating my move in date. I've also been dealing with a lot of other school related things like ordering text books/med equipment, finances, and obviously studying for a 200 question medical terminology exam i have on the FIRST day of classes. Welcome to grad school. Reminds me of "Welcome to the real world. It sucks. You're going to love it." I'll give you 10 imaginary dollars if you can tell me where that quote is from.
Ok, well until the next batch of interesting news in the life of me, au revoir!
